I'd like to think Rockies, but I think Red Sox momentum carries them through now. Colorado might have taken a break too long.

That's a great read. I agree with everything. I really want Colorado too.

I just read somewhere that COL pitcher Francis said that the team had carried the pitching staff through games with crucial plays - could continue to happen, but against those Boston bats, they'll have to be at 200% to pull off what would be an amazing story.

It should be a good series - I'm a lifelong Sox fan, but really hard not to like Colorado, they are fun to watch. I've spent untold hours trying to convince Yankee fans that MLB needs a strict salary cap so more teams would "look" like Colorado and Arizona, and NOT like Boston and the Yanks. It always falls on deaf ears, but oh well.

Sports is big business nowadays, so salary caps aren't exactly the most attractive proposition for those teams which are raking in the big money. However, I agree with your point - I like to watch teams which are more about the team, and not just stars. Seeing them playing with heart and joy is really what makes us fans love sports so much as it parallels our lives.

Looking like a Sox victory right now. I'm thinking the Rockies had far too much time off, sort of like the Tigers last year. Beckett pitched a gem. We'll see where it goes from here but the Sox are rolling hard.
